Eloise Stager, BA, LMT, CST
Eloise is a mom of three (2 with EDS), an EDS-er herself, and the lead for the CT Zebras EDS Support Group. She is a licensed massage therapist in the state of CT and a certified CranioSacral Therapist with the Upledger Institute. She is currently in the process of completing her Diplomate level certification from Upledger.
Eloise received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from Long Island University in 1993. After her marriage and birth of her first child in 1994, she became a childbirth educator and doula. In 2003 she entered school for massage therapy and shortly thereafter was introduced to craniosacral therapy, which she has been practicing ever since.
After owning a clinic for many years which offered massage and craniosacral therapies, she opened the CT Center for CranioSacral Therapy, in New Milford, CT, in 2012. Her patients consist of men, women and children, with varying and complicated histories of pain, injury, illness, and dysfunction. Understandably, Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, is her passion.
Due to the lack of general knowledge about EDS among her peers and mentors, Eloise began an observational study to learn how craniosacral therapy can best be used to help people with EDS. After several years of inquiry, study and practice, Eloise published a review paper of her findings and technique adaptations for her colleagues late last year. The paper was well-received and offered education and insight into the world of EDS for her fellow therapists.
