Final Wellapalooza 2016 Details – Packing & Planning. The fun stuff!
The information included in this email may not all be pertinent to you; however, information about packing, planning, and directions should be helpful for everyone.
Registration has been extended and is open for those interested in still registering for Wellapalooza 2016.

**Please note – there is an error on the retreat schedule page that is being corrected. It does not list Rebecca Snow’s presentation at 10 am on Saturday morning in the Whole Foods Cafe above Haven on the Lake. Rebecca is still speaking, and this is a new error that thankfully has been brought to our attention.**

Registering for classes:
–The Mindfulness Center on Friday, June 10th – Registration will be handled through me. However, if you are registered for all three days, or for Friday, June 10th, and already know which classes (or all) that you would like to participate in, please send me an email with your request(s) — unless you already have done so. Otherwise, please email me your class choices. I will be sending another email with confirmation of class choices. Please send emails to Kendra@wellapalooza.com
-Registering for classes at Haven on the Lake on Saturday, June 11th and Sunday, June 12th – Registration must be done by calling Haven on the Lake directly (410-715-3020) the day of the class(es) that you would like to register for starting at 7 am. What that means is that for classes on Saturday, you can call to reserve a spot starting at 7 am on Saturday morning. Similarly, for classes on Sunday, you can call to reserve a spot starting at 7 am on Sunday.
-Salt cave sessions at Haven on the Lake on Saturday, June 11th and Sunday, June 12th – Registration must be done by calling Haven on the Lake directly (410-715-3020) the day that you would like to book a salt cave session. You can call as early as 7 am the day of, and sessions are booked on the hour. The salt cave seats six people per session.
-I’ve attached a schedule of classes for both wellness venues below. We recommend becoming familiar with the classes offered ahead of time. I will make sure to send out emails and post updates with reminders of the class registration process, including the schedule of classes offered at each venue per day.
-Group Wellapalooza Classes do not require registration. However, if you plan on participating in the aqua fusion class at 4:30 pm on Saturday, you must remember to bring your bathing suit. Please also let us know if you require assistance getting from the locker/lounge room to the pool area. Haven on the Lake does have a chair lift, but I cannot promise the level of chlorine in the air within the indoor pool area.
-All spa & wellness appointments are NOT part of your Wellapalooza registration and are additional costs that each attendee is responsible for. If you would like to book a spa or wellness appointment at either The Mindfulness Center (301-986-1090), Haven on the Lake (410-715-3020), or Turf Valley (410-203-2755), you may book your appointments now. Please call each venue directly to book your appointments.
-The Still Point Spa at Haven on the Lake has generously offered 20% off all full-service appointments and regular priced products for all Wellapalooza attendees
-We are hoping to record each presentation and “live stream” or host a “live webinar” for each presentation. All logistics and IT details haven’t been worked out yet, but we are working on it and will provide details when we can.
-If you want to bring a yoga mat or a yoga blanket, you may find that helpful for gentle yoga, floor exercises, guided meditation time, or to sit more comfortably on the floor. However, each yoga studio is equipt with plenty of yoga mats, blankets, and supports. We cannot promise that all materials have been adequately washed for more sensitive individuals.
-If you have a travel pillow, that also may be something you want to bring that along for yoga, other movement class, or to make yourself most comfortable when seated.
-We have some great prizes to give away as door prizes and raffle prizes. More details will be provided at Wellapalooza!
-Wella Swag bags – we have bags with retreat materials and to help you carry your items around.
-The Pool at Haven on the Lake is an indoor pool, and it uses chlorine. We each have our own comfort level with this type of environment. I can not provide you information about what is best for you other than letting you know that the pool is an indoor pool, and it uses chlorine. There are lounge chairs inside the pool and hot tub area, but also in a private area sitting outside.
-You do have to walk through the indoor pool area to get to the salt cave, sauna, cold plunge, or outdoor private lounge/sitting area associated with the heating environments. Any specific questions should be directed to Haven on the Lake staff.
-I will try to provide air temperatures of the pool, air in the indoor pool area, salt cave, etc. soon.
-Dress in layers or ability to layer, to make yourself as comfortable as possible. Dress is yoga chic & resort casual – if there’s a difference. 😉
